Media is the plural of Medium

It was the 90s. The newsroom is filled with the clickety-clack sound of the typewriter, the script of the editor for the prime time news to be aired at a fixed, prime time to be watched. That was a time of genuine journalism, a period where reports were created to inform, aware, and announce the happenings to the public.

Now, journalism has taken a drastic and expected change. The introduction of the internet acts as the biggest game-changer, the obsolete of newspapers and magazines, and social media hive.

But what has changed?

And considering the easy way- Digital. The digital revolution is only a part, albeit a colossal part, of media publishing.

Media indeed shapes the voice of the masses, and in this time, with fake and biased news, it is. The freedom of expression has changed, the idea delivered in the showroom, how we communicate. It has changed. The gist has revamped.

Journalism is a breakthrough profession. No doubt, a high-demand one that requires your back and forth. For the coming generation who will want to be a part of Journalism, they will have to deal with fake news, politicization, and competition for clicks.

It is clear that with the present demonstration of media publishing, how editors represent content with a spoon of bitterness swallowed with their ‘very own’ judgment is unethical and unacceptable.

If you ever decide to sit down on a summer day to listen to the news, if you do so. Because with social media such as Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, which have dominated their presence in our lives, we are more than aware but less educated.

While scrolling down, you come across headlines about the event and get a vague idea about the action. If you wish to read further, click on the link directed to the publishers’ page.

Yes, the internet happened. It lowered the barriers to publish, bringing e-newspaper. It also became a new marketplace for information and opened the exponential choice for the world print.

Indeed, it has triggered the richness but called on layoffs, fake news, and a hell of a lot of consumer opinion.

On a crisp note, social media is technology-digital oriented and not just in media.

A journalist reports the ground events, perpetuates them, write, edit and edit, proofread and then file news, features, or article, in print or online.

But, coming to our mainstream anchors and media publishing house, they rush to publish news to get clicks against their competitors without due.

Times have changed. With social media, the sorts of videos, quotations, or pictures can be molded into their spine and news channels rather than being in the field of research about the actual news cover-up to make it exclusive for high Television rating Points.

One of the significant impacts of media is how it has embraced politicization. It seems that the news anchors act as political patrons for the coming campaign.

It can be seen on more than occasions how media channels choose to be biased and verbally blunt.
With the glaring situation, we are scrutinized, it seems that the overt politicization will be inescapable for the coming reporters.

The last decade for media advertising and publishing house has dramatically changed. There is so much falsehood engraved that it becomes surreal for them to make it the truth.

The falsehood has diffused significantly enormously, further deeper, broader than the truth.
The morals, ethics, and verity it formed are diminishing. The media and publishing house was supposed to be the basis of forming opinions. It is due to them that the latest event, the slightest one reaches the audience.

But, Journalism today is outdated.

The news we see or hear implodes into nerves.

It is true, transmutes are necessary for cultural and economic growth but, the recent changes in journalism have shown glaring problems for news outlets and audiences, with Facebook and YouTube discovering fake news among political partisans and, fake news has changed journalism since last decade.

Trust in the media has declined, and politicization is highly polarized.
Journalism is the backbone of democracy that literates the audience about the latest actions, events, information, and preserving its virtue is integral for political, ethical, and cultural reasons.

Out of the most, remember that journalism is the act of art where you capture the audience for the audience. It’s a circle.
